W&W Nursery and Landscaping offers its customers a fun way to save with their Nursery Bucks Program. With each purchase, customers are given certificates—“bucks”—that they can use like cash during specific weeks of the year. Riger was asked to illustrate a character that could be used in all W&W marketing efforts to remind people about this great savings opportunity.
Working closely with owner and president Ken Williams, Riger developed a fun and colorful “Nursery Buck” complete with a half-eaten dollar bill in his mouth, standing underneath a tree loaded with dollar bills. A highway billboard, garden center signage, e-newsletters and web graphics are just a few of the media that use W&W’s “Nursery Buck” to market this unique savings program.
