Community Foundation for South Central New York Annual Appeal

Connecting with donors during the holiday season is a key element to Community Foundation for South Central New York's fundraising strategy. In 2023, the Foundation hired Riger to reimagine the style of their holiday annual appeal, to which we added more color, a photo of the fundraising team, photos of those impacted by the Foundation's work, and recipient personalization. This engaging physical mail experience was then followed up with a matching eblast reminder.

UHS Foundation Annual Appeal

Sometimes you just have to change up the old black-and-white letter! For UHS Foundation, the Riger team suggested a more colorful and interactive annual appeal with stories that were revealed more and more with each unfold. We also segmented the mailing's donor groups with both a personalized letter and gift array suggestion to drive maximum donations.

Life Experience and Faith Sharing Associates provides physical, spiritual and emotional support for people experiencing homelessness in New York City. The annual year-end newsletter provides a progress report and accountability while putting names and faces to the mission.

Pocono Services for Families and Children capital campaign self-mailer

The theme and imagery created for Pocono Services for Families and Children’s new Mountain Center’s capital campaign asked potential donors to help each client family find the shelter, compassion, and brighter future they deserve.

LEFSA “Overcomer” Digital Ads

Potential donors were encouraged to click and learn about LEFSA’s mission with these engaging digital display ads, targeted only at those who have a propensity toward philanthropy.

Food Bank digital ads

Moving minds leads to checkbooks opening with these digital ads aimed right at high-income individuals with an interest in philanthropy and aiding hunger relief (yes, we can get that specific in our targeting!).

Family Counseling Services digital ads

With a sensitive subject matter and an extremely select target audience, these digital ads helped Family Counseling Services throw a lifeline to – and start a conversation with – potential clients. Riger developed the copy, designed the ads (finding just the right photo to capture such a layered situation), then implemented and monitored the campaign, which yielded above-average impressions and engagement.

Team Awareness NY Logo

Team Awareness NY is a New York State OASAS-funded workplace wellness training program designed to support a healthy work culture and increase the overall wellbeing of employees. The LEAF Council on Alcoholism and Addictions selected the Team Awareness NY name, then turned to Riger to help bring the name to life in a fresh and colorful logo that gave a nod to the three modules of the program.

Sisters of Charity of New York Logo Update

Sometimes logos are created for one use in one time, but then as promotional tools change, one must adjust. Riger helped Sisters of Charity of New York do just that as we added digital display and social media ads to their fundraising communication channels. We knew we needed to maintain the equity of the original logo’s design while also making it more appropriately fit a smaller frame. Compromise happily reached!

Family & Children’s Counseling Services logo

When Family Counseling Services of Cortland County and Family & Children’s Society in Binghamton decided to merge under one united name, Riger helped create a brand that captured the hopeful essence of both organizations’ life-changing work.

When HCA wanted to focus the name of its organization more on “Helping Celebrate Abilities” instead of “Handicapped Children’s Association,” they turned to Riger for a fresh new logo that helped capture the spirit of joy felt by the individuals this great organization serves.

Talk about moving some donor minds! This video, featuring heartfelt testimonials and dramatic aerial footage, highlights the life-changing work of the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.

It sure was easy to show off the brand new Emergency Department at Pocono Medical Center with this sharp, dynamic video, which was shared online and rolled out to community supporters during the building’s ribbon-cutting event.

Family & Children's Counseling Services Groundbreaking Event

To help meet the region’s growing need for mental health and addiction services, Family & Children’s Counseling Services expanded its Binghamton, NY facility. To help celebrate the groundbreaking for this expansion, Riger was there to help provide programs, press releases, speaking points, media relations and day-of logistical support.

Pocono Mountains Community Fundraiser

Every year, the Riger team has the privilege of lending its support to the Pocono Mountains Community Fundraiser with ever-changing theme development, sponsorship guide, invitations, programs, slideshows, and media relations.

Lackawanna County Community Fundraiser

To celebrate 10 years of supporting local children and families through the Lackawanna County Community Fundraiser, Sanofi Pasteur and VaxServe wanted a bright, whimsical event theme that would remind event attendees the “why” behind the “what” they give. Our childlike graphic and handwritten typeface hit the spot on billboards, invitations, and day-of collateral.

A dramatic theme, full-page photos, and poetic pull-quotes brought the true stories of Lehigh Valley Health Network – Pocono Foundation’s donors and patients to life on the pages of this annual report.

Food Bank of the Southern Tier Capital Campaign Materials

When the Food Bank of the Southern Tier learned it would have to purchase and retrofit a new facility for its important work in upstate New York, they looked to Riger for the creation of two brochures – one photo-centric, testimonial-heavy one for show and tell and one statistic-oriented one to leave behind for more details.
